Lest we forget the joy of the world cup in recent events.

I cannot defend with much virility the relevance of this post…but I will contest it’s comedic merit!

Well, with the loss of Brazil to the Netherlands (which was quite a shock I must say) I am completely out of a chance to win the world cup. My prediction is that Germany will go on to win the whole thing, which, strangely seems a good thing after our awful defeat, and their brilliant display against Argentina.
Boo for prizes.

Well, Mexico are out of the world cup, but they made me proud. If you missed it after the England-Germany tragedy, I would recommend you catch the Mexico-Argentina highlights. Mexico played a brilliant match against a skilled side. An impressive end to an impressive tournament, they have done well to make a name for themselves.
With echoes of the England-Germany refereeing blunder, Mexico lose 2-1 (in my mind) to Maradonna’s side, who I expect to win the whole tournament this year.
Bye Bye my adopted Mexico.

Well there you go [Matt]

With the departure of Slovakia all my teams are out, all my hopes are gone. The real question is: where are my pants? It’s time to go outside.

Boo [Danny]

(Danny): I’m out - no presents for me T^T

But Switzerland and USA both had their moments. South Korea were also unfortunate. Sad.

I think if England don’t win tomorrow my ability to hope will probably diminish, at least for the next 4 years.

Germany 0 - 1 Serbia [Ross]

Germany 0 - 1 Serbia   ….mental (I’ve got Serbia in another sweepstake), and Italy 1 - 1 New Zealand  …. what is going on?? If by some crazy turn of events Serbia and New Zealand meet in the final I won’t know who to root for. I mean either I get £50 or a bag full of crap presents, what’s a man to do?
